Otherwise, you would see much more reports :). The app (all Overwolf app) were whitelisted and should not trigger a ban. If this were the case, I would have privacy concerns if EAC/AGS knows which websites I have opened in my browser. I am pretty sure you won’t get banned by visiting a website. The misunderstanding and confusing is because of AGS communication, they talk about addons and Overwolf apps, but not about websites (are websites addons? what happens, if you open them on second screen or laptop?). Thus, both projects (app and website) are not against ToS and you can use them. The nodes and routes are only displayed on the website, not on the app.ĪGS intention on banning minimap projects was to make sure, it doesn’t look like it’s part of the game and should not display more nodes than the in-game map.

AGS didn’t ban website projects (otherwise, mapgenie, newworld-map,… would be banned too). It’s not injected in the game and can be open on any device (even on your phone or tablet). is a website, similar to other map websites. It has a blank minimap and allows streaming your location. The Overwolf app ( Aeternum Map - Aeternum Map on Overwolf - In-game maps for New World!) doesn’t have any nodes and is not against ToS. You are talking about two different projects here.
